"The whole article misses one basic key point that Ravitch makes over and over in her book. She's not saying that testing and accountability are pointless.She's saying they are not the only accurate measurements of success. I think it's funny that he [the author] uses chess clubs, etc as examples of success. A lot of our brightest kids skip their core classes but show up to play chess."
